Facilities

Ridge House Stables is set in the stunning Welsh countryside near Chepstow, which lends itself ideally to train racehorses due to the underluating land.

The inmates at Ridge House Stables thrive on a varied training routine complimented by the excellent facilities, and the opportunity to be regularly turned out, ths is combined with a knowledgeable and caring team that tend to the horses every beck and call!

The yard has 45 stables, complimented by a eight furlong wood chip all-weather gallop, which is set on a steady climb, enabling racehorses to be succesfully trained specifically to their optimum distance.

To educate the flat horses we have a set of stalls, which the horses are introduced to and familarised with prior to their first visit to the racecourse in order to give them confidence when they are loaded at the races.

The schooling ground with mini hurdles, runs parallel to the gallop and provides a beneficial education to any horse campaigning over fences.

The horse walker warms up and cool off the horses before and after exercise and is very useful to help condition horses muscles and joints after a lay off from training.

Ridge House Stables benefits from acres of luscious paddocks and the horses enjoy regular time in them, this enables them to unwind, relax and play in between their training regime.
